Why it’s not about dressing up but how you feel inside.

To dress up or to dress down?
The answer is always about feeling confident and looking fabulous.
In whatever you are wearing and whatever the occasion.
Because if you feel good, you’ll exude a positive aura, which in turn
will be felt by others – even subconsciously.

Whether you are dressing up or dressing down, clothes are never neutral. Clothes talk. They express who you are. They showcase your personality, reveal your lifestyle, sometimes acting as a shield behind which you hide.

It makes sense to align what you want your appearance to say about you with how you want to feel inside: confident and fabulous.

However, many of us don’t always feel that confident or fabulous. In fact, many of us experience a major confidence deficit when it comes to buying clothes.  There can be a myriad of reasons for this but the most frequent ones are:

1. You hate shopping. You hate changing rooms even more.
And you can’t find clothes that fit. Or look good on you.

2. You don’t have time to do it well but recognize the need to look professional, successful and polished.

3. You want to your clothes to mirror who you are and what you do, instead of being the ‘available ones’ on any given weekday morning.

Well, the good news is you are not alone. In fact, sign up and join the club! Work with a personal stylist.
I have yet to find a woman who isn’t self-deprecating. And charming though that is, it’s time to get real.
Everyone is beautiful and no-one is perfect. When it comes to self-acceptance, we all have to learn it.
Perhaps even more so when we get older.

Wearing clothes that fit properly in all the right places will boost your confidence and than itself will often give
you a happier more carefree air about you. You’ll certainly feel more comfortable in your own skin.

By wearing colours, fabrics, shapes and styles that enhance and reflect who You are and how you live your life,
you’ll look better still, whatever the occasion and whether you’re dressing up or dressing down. And the magic ingredient to looking fabulous? Confidence.

If you’d like to look fabulous and feel confident, get in touch. We’d love to help.
