Autumn Means Hot Chocolate And
A New Autumn Coat
With walks in the countryside. As well as wearing your new Autumn coat when it’s not very cold yet.
And wearing daytime luxe on the weekends: gorgeous cosy knits and cashmere joggers.
Or so we wish!
Well Autumn has now truly started and it’s time to haul out our Winter coats from attics and backs of wardrobes.
If you’re a forward-thinker, yours will already be dry-cleaned and stretched pockets will be stitched up.
CWC style tip: don’t overload pockets with keys and purses.
How Much Should You Invest In A New Autumn Coat?
Generally speaking a good quality wool coat is an investment and as such will last you at least 5 years if you look after it well.
A fashion coat is not intended to last so long – this is where you may choose a colour that’s à la mode or a trend piece such as animal print. With the first, you’ll probably be known for the colour of your coat.
For the second, you (and everyone else) will probably get bored of it – before it’s actually gone out of style.
CWC Style Edit: Autumn Coats
If you have huge wardrobe space and/or a city and country lifestyle, you’ll realise you need more than one coat.
I’m a fan of Evening coats and resist going out for dinner or to a party in my everyday work coat, which is of course fine
but I just prefer to make an effort. As I say: ‘feel good inside and out’.
In this blog, I’m featuring a range of coats from Statement coats to Everyday coats, Alternatives and Chocolate coats.
