What is a capsule wardrobe?
A capsule wardrobe is a small collection of individual garments that can be combined in different ways to make a variety of outfits.
The term capsule wardrobe is unanimously attributed to Susie Faux, who brought in the concept in the 1970’s whilst running her boutique, Wardrobe in London’s busy West End.
A capsule wardrobe consists of:
i) the core wardrobe: a few essential pieces, usually in neutral colours that form the base of your capsule wardrobe.
ii) the additional pieces: usually in a seasonal colour or two which bring the essential pieces to life.
The concept
In three words: Less is more.
If you are a fan of the ‘less is more’ concept, you’ll love a capsule wardrobe.
How big should it be?
It can be any size and is defined by your dressing needs, lifestyle and budget.
Some people prefer having a compact capsule wardrobe and others like to have a very large one.
Some clients have a Business one for workdays and a Smart casual one for the evenings/weekends.
And perhaps a Mini capsule wardrobe for special occasions and short trips away.

What does Capsule Wardrobe Collection offer?
CWC specialises in curating capsule wardrobes for working and influential women.
We create personalised capsule wardrobes for our clients.
An itemised Lookbook details each piece and shows clients how to wear them.
It’s one thing understanding the concept of a capsule wardrobe.
It’s quite another to be able to create one without the training and experience in retail manufacturing,
styling and communications.
Just as every single person is unique and different, so are our Lookbooks.
One colour or one size does not fit all. No two Lookbooks are ever the same.
If you want to visually present yourself in the best possible light, investing in a capsule wardrobe will
probably be one of the most positive and worthwhile investments you make.
You’ll find you want a capsule wardrobe to show yourself in a new light.
